**moli thankiu you very much, very paiseh lately not much update**
should know moli used to have a Panasonic LX3
unfortunately, it was killed during moli's trip to Redang T^T
lilweiser felt bad about it & he insisting to get moli another camera
however, none of the cameras in the market could catch moli's heart
until recently...
when Unti Poo (foo :p) poisoned moli with her new cam Canon S90
it catches lilweiser's heart tooo XD
so, we went buy it at YS, ss2
so here will be a lilreview opinion on both cameras
How this s90 catches both our hearts <3
so basically both have the same megapixel which is 10MP
LX3 is having 24mm - 60mm (2.5x) zoom lens
while S90 is having 28mm - 105mm (3.7x) zoom lens
as for the size, S90 is slightly smaller than LX3
Both having the lowest aperture f2.0
& what we love the most at S90 is the low light mode
yes, s90 produces nice sharp images even in low light
which LX3 is suck at
remember the post about i-City?
the first photo is actually taken with S90
on those normal condition, both are on par
however, s90 is suck at super macro
yes, LX3 beats s90 on super macro mode
so for those who loves to take macro stuff
s90 isn't really your choice unless you can give up on this point
another thing that moli decided to get S90
is that it has underwater casing which fits nicely on it
not like LX3 that requires a 3rd party casing
that cost more than LX3 itself
& yes, moli bought the underwater casing too :p
that's all on moli's lil opinion on LX3 & S90
those who is interested can try play it at Canon retail store
just make sure you're poison proof IF you're just thinking plain playing it XD
& for those who wants LX3
but got stopped by the rumors on LX4
well, moli heard from a friend that told moli
since LX3 is actually using Leica lens
& it's the lower range of Leica D-Lux4
so probably when Leica has new model announce for its new D series camera
Panasonic will have 1 too, probably end of this year
it seems make sense though
how true it is, no one knows :p

Sorry to disturb you but I'm now seriously thinking to buy a new dg cam and someone introduce me to s90. that is how i meet this page. Could you give ur opion on difference in choosing either s90 with the sony ranges. My fisrt tought was Sony TX5- the new water,dust and shock proof model. I'm not a pro photographer but need a new camera to catch quality pic esp while travelling, fast moving scene, and those in low lights. TQVM.

Frankly speaking, i would not recommend you to get Sony's dgcam. Cox cameras from Sony usually are more to stylish instead of real function compare to others brands. With the price you pay for a sony camera actually can get you a very nice features cameras on other brands. Well, s90 is actually a good choice since it is pocketable & having fantastic features. It's low light feature does amazed me :D
